First Line customer Yapili wins regional Seedstars World Botswana startup competition
On November 3rd, patient-doctor marketplace Yapili competed with 8 other startups by presenting their pitch to a local jury panel at the Seedstars Gaborone competition. Yapili was declared the winner of this regional competition and now moves on to the global Seedstars Summit in Switzerland.
Seedstars World promotes, connects and invests in the best emerging market startups they identify by running 65+ local competitions around the world. Regional winners head to Switzerland to compete for the title Seedstars World Global Winner, making them eligible for an equity investment of up to USD 1 million.
This is not the first time Yapili has been recognized for their work. In October they were awarded with The Spindle Public Award Best Innovation 2017. Earlier this year, in June we reported that Yapili had been recognized as Company of the Month in The Hague by the West Holland Foreign Investment Agency.
