First Line Software is a premier provider of software engineering, software enablement, and digital transformation services. Headquartered in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the global staff of 450 technical experts serve clients across North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
On Thursday, March 7th, ZonMw and Health ~ Holland organized the annual Life Sciences & Health Public-Private Partnership (LSH PPS) day in Utrecht.
More than 300 people attended, with First Line Software among the organizations represented. Throughout the day, the LSH PPS event provided numerous opportunities to meet with key business partners and initiate collaborative ventures with others.
With 8 different sessions and over 20 speakers, the organizing committee created a varied and interesting program. The opening session featured a welcome speech from Nico van Meeteren, Director Health ~ Holland. He pointed out that the entire Dutch LSH sector, designated a “top sector” by the Dutch government, is working every day on innovative solutions designed to improve people’s lives. The sector is aiming to develop systems that integrate technology into (bio)pharma, MedTech, and healthcare in a way that will motivate and inspire healthcare companies and agencies.
Several of the speakers reminded the audience that the Netherlands remains the best European country for healthcare systems according to the European Health Consumer Index. It is also one of the happiest countries in the world and ranks globally in the top 10 of the Human Development Index (HDI). All this helps to ensure that the Netherlands has “highly functioning citizens in a healthy economy”.
This year the LSH sector will be producing and offering a diverse program for healthcare researchers, entrepreneurs, and end-users. First Line Software will contribute its innovative solutions and join forces with Dutch partners in order to guarantee the quality of healthcare in the future while keeping costs at a reasonable level.
Innovation goes hand in hand with sustainability. We want to leave a long-lasting mark on future healthcare and have a lasting effect on patients’ lives.
