The data for this year’s Software 500 compared revenue data from the 2017 fiscal year to 2016 revenue data from both public and private software and services companies. For the 2018 report, total software and services revenue equaled $867.8 billion compared to $813.6 billion in the 2017 report, indicating a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.8%.
