First Line Software attends recent Industrial Internet Consortium meeting on the East Coast

Industrial Internet Consortium meeting

Marisa Zalmanis represented First Line Software at an Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC) meeting where the Steering Committee announced plans to place more emphasis on Agile Development methodologies with a focus on end-users. Agile is no longer just a development methodology but is now frequently used as a business strategy with larger corporations when navigating backlogs and driving end-user engagement.

As an active IIC member, First Line Software is in complete alignment with this focus and has accumulated broad experience in applying Agile beyond software development – to optimize client Digital Transformation initiatives and with its proprietary practice of Intellectual Integration. First Line is also actively involved in client IoT projects powered by mobility across multiple industries including an innovative geo-tracking device that may ultimately be used to track patients with Alzheimer’s disease who become disoriented and lost.

While IIC was initially founded in 2014, the organization is looking to reboot itself and label the relaunch IIC 2.0. The spirit of community and collaboration among the membership is quite strong as is demonstrated by the number of ongoing projects in their testbed environment ranging from “Smart Factory Web” to “Intelligent Urban Water Supply”, all designed to advance the manufacturing sector with the latest capabilities in the Industrial Internet.
