Examples of First Line Software’s embrace of corporate social responsibility include regularly purchasing products from the UNICEF organization. We also support organizations that donate 20 – 30% of their revenues from printing services and promotional items to purchase medicine for people being treated with various forms of cancer.
In 2021 First Line Software became an official partner of the Blijdorp Zoo and helped to save two Amur leopards. Due to habitat loss and poaching, the Amur leopard is critically endangered — only 84 of the species are thought to exist globally.
Rotterdam Zoo Blijdorp is located in the northwestern part of Rotterdam. It is one of the oldest zoos in the Netherlands. Divided into several zoogeographic regions, the 26-hectare (64.25-acre) Zoo boasts well over 180 species. The zoo is a member of the Dutch Zoo Federation (NVD) and the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria (EAZA).
In 2021 our company has also adopted two meerkats at ARTIS Amsterdam Royal Zoo in the Netherlands. We strongly believe that adopting animals is a great way to support Amsterdam’s Zoo and help to protect and care for its animals. First Line Software supports ARTIS and its initiatives for animal care, nature and environmental education, international breeding and reintroduction programs, and nature conservation. We love our planet, so we have made use of this unique opportunity to support ARTIS and its lovely inhabitants and want to share this partnership with you!
First Line Software regularly hosts hackathons for students attending local technical universities. The primary objective is to create and develop entertaining and educational software prototypes in a 24 hour window. All ideas and student technical levels of expertise are welcome. Masterclasses are also provided to the students to enhance their curriculum.
